President and Owner
In 1989, Jesse opened shop in his own garage, while continuing his regular job. In 1992, after seven years with his second employer and three years in his garage, Jesse rented a 1,200 square ft space in Lancaster, California, and opened shop as J&R Machine Works. Outgrowing two spaces within two years, he built a 3,100 sq ft shop which now houses 12 employees, running 14 CNCs and assorted support equipment. He later added a 600 sq ft building for metrology and administrative office space.
Apprenticing under Jesse Alvarado, Robert has been working in a machine shop since he was 16. Now with 15 years of experience, Robert leads the daily operations of the shop floor.
A founding member of J&R Machine Works, Maria has been with the company since it's inception.
Quality Control Manager
Jonathan oversees all quality and metrology operations. He ensures that all the parts made at J&R are made to the highest of quality standards.
With more than 15 years of aerospace experience, Christine has an extensive background in sales, purchasing and process management. Planning/Quoting parts from womb to tomb has lead to a wealth of knowledge in thermal / wet processing and blue print reading. Relationship building - both internal and external - makes her valuable addition to J&R Machine Works.
