J&R Machine Works Policy on Conflict Minerals
The ongoing conflict in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) is fueled in part from trade of “conflict minerals,” which are defined as tantalum, tin, tungsten, and gold or any of their derivatives. J&R Machine Works will work with our supply chain partners to take reasonable steps to assure conflict minerals are not sourced by J&R Machine Works or our supply chain partners in a way that would directly or indirectly benefit armed groups responsible for serious human rights abuses in the DRC or adjoining countries. J&R Machine Works expects that our suppliers will comply with our requests to provide statements and perform due diligence about the source of any conflict minerals in their products which are provided to us.
